Maxima Impact Consulting hosted the Maxima Mindshare webinar titled “Unlocking the Power of Impact Reporting” on Friday, May 28. The Mindshare webinar served as a platform for organizations, communities, and individuals to learn about impact and sustainability. The event was attended by 150 participants from various backgrounds and regions across Indonesia, reflecting the high interest and demand for knowledge on effective impact reporting.
As an impact consulting company, Maxima Impact Consulting aimed to achieve several goals with this project. Designed to provide a deeper understanding of the importance of Impact Reports for organizations, the webinar explored the perspectives of investors or funders on Impact Reports. Featuring high-caliber speakers such as Nursakti Niko Rosandy, President of the Institute of Certified Management Accountants, Australia, and Audi Rifqi, Senior Financial Planning Analysis & Business Partner of INDICO.
During their presentations, the speakers explained that impact reporting is not just a report, but a critical tool that captures and communicates the broader impact of an organization’s activities. This is essential for ensuring transparency and accountability and aligns with global standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
Nursakti and Audi also highlighted the importance of adopting sustainability strategies, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), and impact as business imperatives. By aligning business objectives with sustainability goals, organizations can ensure long-term resilience and prosperity. This strategy not only brings financial benefits but also strengthens a company’s image in the eyes of investors and the public.
Another key point raised during the session was the need for independent third-party verification to enhance the credibility of impact reports. “This way, organizations can improve the transparency and quality of their reports, thereby gaining more trust from investors and other stakeholders,” explained Nursakti.
Meanwhile, Audi emphasized the importance of understanding investor needs and expectations as a key to successful impact reporting. “This webinar highlighted the importance of tailoring impact stories to meet the perspectives of various stakeholders. By using industry-specific impact metrics, organizations can highlight material causes and improve the relevance of their reports,” he said.
Closing the webinar, Anggi Gayatri Setiawan, Head of Sustainability Learning & Advisory at Maxima Impact Consulting, expressed hope that this event would be the beginning of improved literacy on impact and sustainability among professionals in Indonesia. “We hope the knowledge gained from this webinar can be applied by participants to improve impact reporting practices in their respective organizations,” she said.
Through this webinar, Maxima not only succeeded in delivering new knowledge on impact reporting but also paved the way for professionals to better understand and implement effective sustainability strategies. This initiative marks an important first step in creating sustainable businesses, where success is measured not only by financial performance but also by substantial contributions to society and the environment.
