PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMMAN), a copper and gold mining company, collaborates with Maxima Impact Consulting to develop the potential of children around its operational area in West Sumbawa Regency (KSB). The AMMAN Scholars Leadership Camp program provides full three-year scholarships to KSB children to pursue vocational education at vocational schools in Kudus, Ponorogo, and Malang. Maxima encourages participants to explore their dreams and formulate strategies to achieve them, equipping them to become competent, high-achieving, and globally prepared KSB generations.
The AMMAN Scholars Leadership Camp (ASLC) is conducted over one year as an initial preparation for scholarship recipients. The program’s curriculum is divided into four cycles: orientation, self-foundation strengthening, basic competence strengthening, and intermediate competence strengthening. The ASLC program focuses on enhancing participants’ personal capacity in four aspects: adaptability and resilience, self-efficacy, and self-motivation.
On February 27-28, 2024, ASLC Cycle 2 was held in Ponorogo, East Java, for participants from vocational schools in Ponorogo and Malang. In this second cycle of the ASLC Program, Maxima guided participants to better understand themselves through various assessments, one of which was the DISC, a tool used to understand human character. Led directly by a psychologist, participants were encouraged to reflect and define themselves, building awareness to foster relationships with themselves and others. “The DISC results are then analyzed to serve as a reference for participants in drafting their Individual Development Plan (IDP), which systematically outlines how to achieve their dreams,” explained Salmaa Ramadhani, Project Manager of the AMMAN Scholars Leadership Camp.
ASLC Cycle 2 introduced new activities for KSB children, such as Game-Based Learning and Field Trips. “Although these activities may seem like ‘fun and games,’ they have outputs in the form of assessments for all participants. Therefore, participants not only receive materials but also practical evaluations,” added Salmaa.
Through the ASLC Program, Maxima encourages participants to discover and pursue their dreams, aiming to produce competent, high-achieving, and globally ready young generations from KSB. Interested in initiating impactful scholarship management programs? Consult with Maxima Impact Consulting!
