In a strategic step to create Transformation Ambassadors (Duta Transformasi or Dutrans) within the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, various briefings were prepared for the Transformation Ambassadors before carrying out their mission. One of the materials raised in this workshop was “Media Utilization in Communicating the Impact of Change Initiatives” delivered directly by Salman Noersiwan, Associate Expert of Maxima Impact Consulting, 18/7. This activity was attended by 630 participants of the Transformation Ambassador spread across various cities in Indonesia. Also present was Mochamad Agus Rofiudin, Expert Staff for Organization, Bureaucracy, and Information Technology, Chief Executive Officer I CTO, overseeing the process of the Secretariat General’s Transformation Ambassador in 2024.
In his presentation, Salman emphasized that with the development of social media today, its use needs to be an important concern. “There have been many cases where someone lost their job due to social media. So it is not just about showing impressive things, but how to optimize social media as a space for us to provide references to positive impacts on social media,” he said.
Salman Noersiwan Bachtiar is a lecturer at the Faculty of Communication, Multimedia Nusantara University and a Communication and Stakeholders Engagement consultant at NIRAS International Consulting. He has also been a consultant for the World Health Organization (2022-2023) and the United Nations Development Programme (2020-2022).
In this workshop session, the Transformation Ambassadors (Dutrans) received various materials about social media, from the development of business ethics and public services, how to build employee representation in the media, public communication strategies through social media, to strategies in managing social media crises. Dutrans Project Manager of the Ministry of Finance, Dayan Agniansyah, CHCS explained that the material was based on a long-term needs analysis. “We see the potential for this transformation to be an inspiration for other organizations, so hopefully the positive influence promoted by Dutrans will not only stop at the direct beneficiaries, but also become an inspirational story on social media,” he said.
The Transformation Ambassador Program is an initiative designed to increase the capacity and capability of MoF employees in managing and implementing change. The program involves intensive training and ongoing mentoring for participants called Transformation Ambassadors. They will act as change agents in their respective units and regions from across Indonesia.
“The presence of the Transformation Ambassador is intended as a communication bridge between leaders and employees, as well as coordinating the implementation of change projects aimed at increasing organizational effectiveness and efficiency.” explained Dayan Agniansyah, CHCS.
