In PT PP’s strategic move to create a corporate ecosystem that supports the growth of leaders’ capacity, together with Maxima Impact Consulting has implemented the Leaders as Coach program. This program aims to improve the competence of PT PP leaders (leader competencies) in fostering successor candidates through the speed program, with a focus on developing effective coaching and mentoring skills. The agenda was conducted in two formats, namely offline and online with a total of 41 participants consisting of PT PP BOD-1 and BOD-2 level employees.
The main problem faced by PT PP in the regeneration process through shadowing is that not all leaders have the coaching capacity that meets the required standards. This lack of coaching skills has the potential to affect the effectiveness of the shadowing process and successor development. Therefore, improving leader competencies like coaching skills is an important step to ensure the regeneration process runs optimally.
This program is designed to help participants understand their role as coach and mentor in the shadowing program. By developing in-depth coaching skills, participants will be better able to listen proactively, understand successor issues, and provide appropriate solutions to support an optimal regeneration process.
The Leaders as Coach training is designed to develop the leader competencies like skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for participants, especially leaders, to become effective internal coaches in the shadowing process. The training is conducted offline using role play techniques, which allows participants to practice coaching skills directly. With this approach, participants are expected to support optimal regeneration within the organization.
